Honduras Resorts by: Wolf Sebring
Honduras Resorts - The resorts in Honduras are a big attraction — especially on the Bay Islands. There are some really nice ones here where you can relax, go diving, go snorkeling, and go on other side trips and activities. While many of the resorts have great base prices, beware that there is a 16% Honduran lodging tax plus a 5% international tourist tax. You will need to figure these in when budgeting for where you will stay on your trip. In Roatan, there is the Henry Morgan Resort which offers everything you need in one tropical vacation. There is the Banarama Diving Resort in Roatan. It is, as its name indicates, a resort geared towards divers with a diving shop, fully-equipped dive center, and staffed by qualified dive masters and dive instructors. This resort has private cabins with air conditioning and it is surrounded by trees to give it that secluded look. On Utila in the Bay Islands there is the Deep Blue Resort. This looks like a classy place but a little steep in prices (ranges from $1,044 U.S. to $2,100 U.S per week). But it comes with quite a bit for the price to include scuba diving trips (and if you don't scuba dive, there is a discount available). It has great fishing and can only be reached by boat so it is really a great getaway. The Coco Pando Resort Hotel in La Ceiba offers a Carirbbean beachfront vacation. It is located on the beach about midway between the Goloson International Airport and La Ceiba. There is Anthony's Key Resort on Roatan which has accommodations in hut form and the water there is said to be beautiful. Island Pearl Resort on Roatan is notorious for its artistic and luxurious interior design. The Luna Beach Resort on Roatan is famous for its romantic appeal. This is where they shot the movie Temptation Island III. And there are many more Honduras resorts in this tropical paradise . Most can be easily found on the internet where you can read reviews from prior guests. |
